About Me

Picture
I’m Lesley, a counsellor supporting adults on their journey to wellbeing, growth and healing. I hold a Diploma in Counselling from Waverley Abbey College (validated through Middlesex University).  I offer an integrative approach, drawing from different therapeutic fields to meet each client’s individual needs. Whether using person-centred techniques, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), creative interventions, transactional analysis, gestalt or psychodynamic approaches, my focus is always in offering a non-judgmental, empathetic and caring space for my client to be heard.

I have experience of working across a range of client issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, anger management, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Over the last few years, I have had the privilege of working with clients at the YMCA. I am committed to professional excellence, adhere to my professional body's ethical guidelines, and am fully insured. Additionally, my practice is supported by regular supervision from a qualified and registered supervisor, which ensures I offer the highest standard of care and accountability.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC). I provide compassionate counselling for individuals of any faith background or none.
